    Carol II von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania was the son of Ferdinand Viktor Albert Meinrad von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania and Marie Alexandra Victoria Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess of Edinburgh. He was born on 15 October 1893 at Castle Pelesch, Sinaia, Romania.1 He married, firstly, Joana Maria Valentina Lambrino, daughter of Colonel Constantin Lambrino and Euphrosine Alcaz, on 31 August 1918 at Odessa, Russia. He married, secondly, Helen von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark, daughter of Konstantinos I von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, King of the Hellenes and Sophie Dorothea Ulrike Alice Prinzessin von Preußen, on 10 March 1921 at Athens, Greece.1 He and Helen von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark were divorced on 21 June 1928 at Estoril, Portugal.2 He married, thirdly, Elena Lupescu, daughter of Nicolas Lupescu, on 3 June 1947 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in a civil marriage, and were remarried on 19 August in a religious ceremony in Lisbon.3 He died on 4 April 1953 at age 59 at Villa Mar y Sol, Estoril, Portugal.1

    He gained the title of Prinz von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen.2 His marriage to Joana Maria Valentina Lambrino was annulled on 8 January 1919 because the marriage was without permission.2 He gained the title of King Carol II of Romania on 8 June 1930.1 He abdicated as King of Romania on 6 September 1940.4

She was born on 3 May 1896 at Athens, Greece.1 She married Carol II von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania, son of Ferdinand Viktor Albert Meinrad von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania and Marie Alexandra Victoria Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess of Edinburgh, on 10 March 1921 at Athens.1 She and Carol II von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania were divorced on 21 June 1928 at Estoril, Portugal.2 She died on 28 November 1982 at age 86 at Lausanne, Switzerland.1
    She was also known as Eleni von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg.2 She gained the title of Principessa Helen di Parma. She gained the title of Princess Helen of Greece and Denmark.3 Helen von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark also went by the nick-name of Sitta von. He was born on 2 August 1868 at Athens, Greece.2 He married Sophie Dorothea Ulrike Alice Prinzessin von Preußen, daughter of Friedrich III Wilhelm Nikolaus Karl von Hohenzollern Kaiser von Deuschland and Victoria Adelaide Mary Louisa Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom, on 27 October 1889 at Athens.2 He died on 11 January 1923 at age 54 at Palermo, Sicily, Italy, from a stroke.2 He was buried in November 1936 at Tatoi, Greece.

    He was crowned King of the Hellenes on 18 March 1913.2 He gained the title of King Konstantinos I of the Hellenes on 18 March 1913.3 Konstantinos I von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, King of the Hellenes also went by the nick-name of Tino. He abdicated as King of the Hellenes on 11 June 1917 He left the country, with Alexander named acting King in his absence.4 He was crowned King of the Hellenes on 19 December 1920.4 He abdicated as King of the Hellenes on 22 September 1922.4
