  Michael Karl August Wilhelm Prinz Biron von Curland is the son of Karl Peter Franz Andreas Alexander Biron von Curland, Prince Biron von Curland and Herzeleide-Ina-Marie Sophie Charlotte Else Prinzessin von Preußen.1 He was born on 20 January 1944 at Gross Wartenberg, Silesia.1 He married Kristin von Oertzen, daughter of Joachim von Oertzen and Gerda von Siemens, on 1 July 1969 in a civil marriage.
