Guido Deboeck has for twenty years been an advisor on technology to the World Bank in Washington DC. He has taught numerous courses for executives and has published several articles and books. He is the author of several books in finance including “Trading on the Edge”, 1994, and “Visual Explorations in Finance}, 1998) . He ahs also pulbished “Flemish DNA & Ancestry: History of three families using conventional and genetic genealogy (2007). His most recent book “Oh Meine Papa: René Deboeck 1913-1985”, is entirely about the life of his father. It contains stories about his father's youth, military service, the World War II period, marriage and work for the Deboeck Gebroeders. It is illustrated with the best of his father's photography.
This latest book is the author's fifth photo book. Previous photo books included a book on five generations of his own family, “ Letters of Opa”; a book about “Portraits of our Foster Children”; a book about “Charing: Souvenirs of our family”; and abook called “ Hungarian Rhapsody of Light” devoted to the photography of Otto Raggambi.
